In summary, BB summer school was a fun way to learn these applications... I would say that on a scale of 1-10, I would rate myself an 8.5. There are still some things I'd like to go and explore more and perhaps try doing some of the teacher's pet tasks.
Betty Blogger Summer School did meet my expectations -- although I did find it hard to fit it into the summer schedule...knowing that you could play catch up along the way was a good thing.
Library Lady you are a hoot! Thank you for your comments on my blog -- this helped to know that I was doing things right.
In the whole program I found the Productivity Tools and Wikis the most challenging...I think that the Productivity Tools were a surprise to me and a bit overwhelming. I also had some issues with the security settings on our computer and was unable to cut and paste as I would have liked.
This self-directed learning model was good with your email prompts. You didn't have to leave your home to work on this but could if you needed to. The prompts were just enough to remind and encourage and of course the chance to win a prize at the end is an added incentive.
I would recommend this course to a friend. I heard about this course at the library. Then, after mentioning that I was taking this course, found out that three of my friends had already done so. And...while taking this course and browsing other blogs discovered that two of my friends were taking this one now but I didn't know it! Small world isn't it?
Thanks for introducing me to the computer world in new ways!!!
For she's a jolly good fellow!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Nan.
If you're wondering about that LibraryThing link, copy the link to your library from your LibraryThing profile, log into your blog, and click New Post.
In the new post, click the Edit HTML tab (next to the Compose tab in the top right corner of the post box).
Paste the link. If you want to make it active, highlight the link and click the link button. Paste the link into the link box, and click OK.

Does this work?
Congratulations on completing the Betty Blogger program, Nan! Well done!
